1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear

I havn't ever driven a brand new rx-7, so I want to make sure the type of driving I'm experiencing is normal :p

Basically, when I give full throttle in first gear the car shoots forward to 8k rpms super fast. the psi meter barely hits 10. in 1st the car sounds pretty whiney compared with other gears but it hits the right psi with the pedal all the way down

2nd gear i fishtail almost every time when the second turbo kicks in unless its a warm day and im on a completely straight surface, it hits 11psi here, first turbo when flooring in 2nd will also hit about 11 psi

3rd gear, even when i dont floor it, i can hit 10psi at 3/4 throttle and the psi just seem to climb easier than they do in the first gears (with less throttle) if i floor it ill get 12 psi

this normal? ;p im runnin a stock car basically with a c0ld air intake, ss downpipe, and an exhaust sytem

Sounds normal, nothing unusual there.

alright good ;p someone was saying that they thought they had a leak because they weren't boosting quite as high psi in first gear and i was worried that i might fall under that category too

If there were a boost leak, it would leak in all gears.

seems like what you are experiencing is called boost creep. do a search on it. it happens more in higher gears.

Why would you complain if you have a perfect boost pattern. You trying to mock fellow fd owners with boost problems!!!! hehe, im just messing around.

Honestly, I don't think it ever hits a full 10 pounds a boost in first gear.

Also, the reason why your fishtailing is:

1. the power on the car is just way to great stock, any modifications will cause tremendous amounts of hp increase.

2. tires need to be replaced as they might have no tread, or check your tire pressure.

Honestly the only time i actually loose traction is when there is any sign of moisture on the ground.

Tires are brand new ill have to check the pressure in them but that shold be fine as well... I guess the times ive been driving it recently its been about 40 degrees out and very human/damp

makes for nasty driving

The turbos come on line based on a variety of inputs, that includes throttle position, rpm, load, speed etc. If you increase the speed slowly enough the turbos will not kick in at any rpm.
As for "fish tailing" it's sounds like you are just not familiar with the control charateristics of a high powered turbo car.
