I do run a 51r battery, which is the turbojeff battery tray. But I do still have some clearance, but I don't know how much. I could prob take a pic of it installed.

As for price, Shine would dictate that I would assume, maybe they will respond here with a guesstimate. I was thinking they could prob do it in CF also, but I don't know. Since most ducts sell for the 150-200 range, I assume that it would be similar.

Just the smaller one, since they are copying my duct. If you want the larger one, just buy from Pettit.

people who talk down on the ebay i/c are just mad because they spent 1k. I have the ebay smic w/ a custom aluminum duct hat lines up perfectly, i paid 100 dollar for it. Total cost was less than $400 for everything. I relocated my ast and mounted it next to my headlight and moved the battery to the storage bin. I made 328RWHP at 14psi on stock ports with a 10 AFR

No, it's because we hold our cars to a higher standard. I didn't spend 18k on my car to put the cheapest parts I could find on it. You guys and your cheap *** intercoolers

So do you both run PilotSport tires on your cars? If not then why? They are the undisputed best, so you are destroying our FD's with your cheap upgrades.

Point is, the EBay IC is an upgrade to the stock IC. That has been proven many times over. SO why do I have to buy $1500 Intercooler if I don't need it and the Ebay IC works great for my application.

If you want to run an E-bay intercooler, then more power to you. I'm just tired of people coming on here talking about how great their $80 IC is and how we got ripped off for buying a $1500 ASP/M2 IC. I think we can all agree that the XS IC is better than the stock unit, which isn't saying much.

i agree that the m2 i/c is definately better quality...i have the seen the difference in person.

I just think someone running on the stock turbos can spend their money on other things such as koyo radiator, wider wheels and tires, koni suspension etc then all into an I/C

Im suprisingly impressed with the quality of the ebay i/c....if the exact model was sold by racing beat people would pay 800 for it

I really cannot think of the benifits to running the 1200 i/c over the ebay performance wise on stock turbos?

I guess it's peice of mind. It's like this here:

I can buy payless shoes, since I have holes in my current shoes, but I'd rather spend more money for the timberland boots. I don't have to buy the timberlands, since the payless shoes will work just fine, and be better than my shoes with the holes in them, but why replace them with something that is just only a bit better? Why not just go out and buy something I've really wanted and not neccessarily needed, but wanted to have? Not saying that I really wanted my pettit (I really want a vmount), but it's better than the xspower.

I too have stock turbos, but want to upgrade to BNRs later. So are you guys only arguing the fact that the xspower is ONLY a stock replacement? Or a good performance stock replacement. I can agree that it's a good stock replacement, but would feel a little nervous using it on an engine that is going to be pushed far beyond stock levels of performance. I'm not saying you guys are idiots for buying these i/cs. Just curious to why you would put such cheap i/cs on our expensive very tempermental FDs.

Ok. Talked to Ken. Shine agreed to make it based on the response here. Just waiting to hear from him what he thinks it will cost.
