Don't run a Civic wheel on an FD please. At the very least, run an 8" wide wheel.

I've got 17x7's up front (hey they were on the car when I bought it ) anyways yeah they suck big time. Just waiting on a good deal on some fikse/volk/work rims to pop up.

the factory rims were always 17x8 F and 17x8.5 R - you really don't want to go lower than that

Just so no one gets confused, he is talking about factory rims on japanese FDs.

Factory rims for 93-95 domestic FDs was always 16x8 and 225/50 all around.

i personally would never go to a narrower wheel. You are only going to ruin the handling and other traction related characteristics of the car.

You would need coilovers and aftermarket trailing arms to run those. Even then, the wheels may not clear the trailing arms.

Why 16"? Trying to maintain those big fat sidewalls?

As far as tires go, Kumho makes R-compounds in 265/45, which is an acceptable fitment. Race tires only, though.
