1680cc without resistors??

Hey Guys,
Just got my KG rail and 1680cc injectors,..awesome kit and I wanted to see what the concensus was about using the resistors or not. I'm running a power FC with a XS engineering T04S. I'll use them if I need to, but less is better. It's starting to look so nice without all the sequential sh*t.
Thanks,
Ryan

Unless the PFC can drive both types of injectors (Like the Haltech can...peak-and-hold aka low-impedance and saturated aka high-impedance), you will need the resistors or you'll fry the drivers in the computer.

They are the size of peanuts! I know the mentality of less is better but resisiters? Remove your A/C, ABS and P/S, if you already haven't.

They are easy to install and really don't take up as much room as two peanuts. Peanuts!

Anyway, and all joking aside, from what I hear they are pretty important for a computer running 1600s.

i dont think he is asking to not runing them becasue of weight or clutter Garrett.... but asking out of debates between people saying you *have* to and dont *have to*.

I know, I just felt like somehow I could call those things peanuts on the forum. I remember when they came with my fuel system. The first thing that popped into my head was peanuts. I had to say it!

you need to find out if the injectors are low or high impedence. most modern injectors are low so im betting thats what they are. you can measure them with a multimeter if you have one. if the injectors are indeed low impedance you absolutely must use resistors or you will draw too much current through the injector drivers in the ecu and burn them out.

I have the kg rail, 1680's, powerfc and t04s and I used the resistors and have had no problems. I have kept up with the debate and havent seen anything to make me go and take them off.

Good luck with the project!
