1680 Injectors And Aeromotive Fpr

hi

i have fitted a set of 1680 secondry injectors and fuel rail along with an aeromotive fpr and a walbro fuel pump.

the problem is i have no fuel pressure, and have checked the pump and it is running fine allthogh it will just keep running as if it was just one continuose loop.

im not sure if i have connected the wrong pipes , i did bypass the steel pipe that returned from the original fpr though- could that be the problem.

regards

chris

does anyone have a set of instructions for this setup or know where i have gone wrong.

Do you have it run like this, From the pump to the primary rail then to the secondary rail then out to the fpr, then the bottom of the fpr to the tank. Do a search on running fuel lines. there is alot of diagrams on here.

had the return in the wrong port , however the fuel pressure does not stay constant and i can see no leaks is this good or bad.
when i removed the fuel rail there was a sensor in it do i still need this or not.

I am not sure what you mean by this, but here are answers to two of the possible meanings:

1. My fuel pressure goes up when I boost, and down when I get off the gas! The regulator's job is to keep a constant difference in pressure between the fuel rail and the intake manifold. When you go into boost, the fuel pressure will go up with it. And it will go down under vacuum. But it will/should always be constant with respect to the pressure in the intake manifold.

2. I shut my car off and the pressure drops! This appears to be normal for some setups. I think it depends mostly on the fuel pump. However, it could also be a leaky fuel injector or a fuel system plumbing leak somewhere.

If you mean something else, please provide some more information.

Do you have a one way check valve on the feed line(s) to hold pressure in the lines? One of my main problems getting the car to start and not flood was I didnt have any fuel in the lines from when the pumps came on.
