1600cc injector spacers needed?

I'm waiting for two sleeves for my secondary Bosch 1600cc injectors, but was reading some older threads that they may not be necessary.
I'm using a KG rail, do I need the aluminum spacers for the LIM to eliminate leaks, or do they work fine as is?

yes you need the spacers - http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/lim%20spacer.htm. CJ motorsports had some with an o-ring that were removable but these work just as good if not better because the o-ring is just another failure point.

They don't work as-is no matter how you slice it. But the other option is to remove the lower o-rings and install pintle caps from series 5 Rx-7 injectors. That will also work and eliminate the need for spacers.

So even with the spacers with no addition modification, Im still risking leaks?
I'm sure I can track some S5 injectors down and use the pintle caps, but am I wasting my time with the spacers?
