Supra TT Fuel Pump ==> STUCK..!!!

Guys,

Just got a Supra TT Fuel Pump and today I finally got time to install it myself.

Did everything right but the car didnīt start, took the pump out wired it to the battery for testing purposes and it doesnīt spin, make any noise and at the time I touch the Battery terminal I see sparks coming out the terminal.

My mechanic says it is "stuck". Is there any way to "unstuck" it ?? Any experience about it over here ??

Or should I get a new one ??

If I fix it is there a big chance that it gets stuck while I run the engine ?? Thatīs a BOOM for sure..!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks...

if it's new then send it back to the seller and get a replacement or your money back.

a stuck pump right off the bat is not a good sign.

if you really want to try it apply power to the pump and tap it lightly with a mallet/dead blow hammer.

Um if you apply direct voltage to the pump and it doesnt spin, then obviously the logical thing to do is bring it back.

Have them do the same test to back up your claim that its a faulty pump.

Then get another one. A supra TT pump is a great mod to our cars. I did mine like 4 years ago.

OEM Supra pumps aren't what they used to be. Friend of mine had a triple pumper setup on his Supra, 2 of the 3 didn't work. Sent the two bad ones back, got 2 more bad ones in return. Pulled all three, went with Walbro for a fraction of the cost, no issues.... never looked back.
