Unhappy 16 year old with fd?

I am 16 and I want an FD but everyone here is scaring me into not getting one. I do realize that it is light, fast and rear wheel drive but still, what makes it ok for a dumb 20 year old to get one and not ok for a responsible 16 year old to get one? I respect what u guys r saying , that its dumb for a new driver to get one but i just want some reasons. I drive my dads low 12 second wrx everyday so dont say anything about speed, and i have a 95 civic for an everyday beater so dont say anything about reliability and drivability. Im not trying to be an *** or anything i just want someone to help me out and tell me what im getting into.

THNX

You lack experience. Driving down a road without spinning out does not constitute enough experience.

im 17 and i have a FD. i got it when i was 16 and i wrecked it twice. one was being stupid and i ended up siedways on a curb. the second involved ice, enough said. it can be challenging to drive. if i can help it i never drive mine in the rain or ice because it means u have to drive like 2 mph to avoid tire spin. all the older people will give u **** though. your also getting into big expense, its a very expensive car. dont even mention insurance price.

i got my FD when i was 17(i jus turned 18) and that car is still too much for me! if you go around a coner and give it jus a little gas your gone! its amazing what this cars can do. and all everyone is saying is that when you are behind the steering wheel of a FD you are going to want to push the gas down, and for someone that is jus bearly can drive cars, you will not be able to controll it.

I'm 20 and I'm scared I'll do something stupid one day and wrap it around a tree. Then I go and do something stupid and get pissed at myself. You might think you have self control, but I don't think we learn that until age 26 when the insurance companies think we do

I think that says it right there.

In addition, if you had more experience, you would not have started this thread.
