13b rew Motor installation
Is it difficult to remove and install mazda reman for 1993 rx7 seq. turbo ?
I know this shop (not rotary speciallist) and he can help me remove my old motor and install mazda reman for cheaper cost of labor. Is this risky? or gettin mazda reman into FD is basically same as removing and installing a regular motor into cars. I was just concerned about the vaccume lines which i saw under my UIM...lol that thing freaked me out.....

I'm in the process of doing this myself. Its not to bad if you have the motors side by side. Some mechanic experience will go a long way. Do you have reman already? It could be awhile to get one

Actually I can get a reman from NYC and pick up at the bayarea, so getting it is no problem. I was just wondering if any* mechanic who has experienced in motor installation can do the job for rx7.

i have done it many times it is easy. infact you could do it yourself if you have the tools. it works best if you leave the tranny in the car. don't forget to disconnect the throwout bearing from the pressure plate via the access window on the tranny, or else you will not get the tranny disconnected from the engine.some of the exhaust bolts are a bitch to get off.
the vacuum hoses are easy to do with the engine out of the car. this is a good time to upgrade you vacuum hoses too.
any competent mechanic who cares to do the job right can do it.

I've done piston engine cars and don't think it is that much harder; just more things to put back.
You need a garage space, power tools, tranny lift and truck jack stands. Take your time, take picture.
The hardest part is the rat's nest: label, label and label.

There is nothing nicer than seeing how lines were routed and parts went back together. Trust me, it will save you from giving up on a rebuild.
