Exclamation 10 psi normal????

I had my FD for a couple weeks now and only upgrades are the

HKS Filter and HKS Dragger ll cat back. car is freaking fast
then i installed a auto meter boost gauge and I looked at the boost..

seems to be boosting at 10 PSI.. 2nd n 3rd gear goes to 12 then back to 10. even at 5th gear i get 10...

From what i heard my ECU its not stock... i dunno haven't checked it yet.. i'm new to this so how do i know if its stock or not??? any specific numbers to look 4..?

thanks

PS: no i don't have a boost controller.

Stock boost pattern is 10-8-10 in 3rd gear @ WOT. You're definitely overboosting @ 12 PSI but *should* be safe w/ the aftermarket ECU. Have any idea what kind it is? Check its specs to see how many lbs. of boost it's good for.

Congrats on the new car. And BTW, I'm in Frisco too. Check out the West forum for local upcoming meets.

lol I still love my Crx's hehe.. anyways yeah i'm trying to find some meets to go to or any get together or somethin... and the 12 PSi happens when second gear when it reaches 4500 RPM it just goes.. feels like VTEC kickin in.. then it drops to 10 and like u said 8 and all..

Could be tuned differently. but 4500 rpm is about when the 2nd turbo really kicks in so that would be right for the 12 psi, how long does it hold that?

hheeee saiidd "feels like vvtteecc" dahhh... when secondary kicks in, it feels like turbos to me

anyway make sure your ecu IS aftermarket, if you start modding without an aftermarket ecu and no reliability mods you should really watch out for overboosting and knock.

IMO get the reliability mods asap.

Sounds to me like you are spiking. I know that you said the car has CB and CAI but still, did you check if the car has a downpipe?
