I looped mine with just some silicon hose I had left over from my vacuum hose kit... Works fine for me

Thanks Gordon. I saw that thread, but it's mostly about the maval rack. I'll probably go this route in the future, but for now I'd to try the loop line conversion to see how I like it.

Do you have any pics?

There are a lot of threads out there debating the full conversion vs. the loop line, but I haven't found any that discuss the details of how to loop the lines, or ones that have any pictures. Does anybody have pictures of the conversion?

I just recently took my rack out and did the whole full manual thing.Like you I was going to loop the lines but trust me dude for all the trouble that you will go through to loop those lines you can just easily take it out and do it the right way. I took me about 5 hours to take apart the rack weld the quill and weld the bolts for the plugs cut the center disk and get rid of the seal springs. I advise you to just take it out and do it the right way.

i bought a kit from gotham racing.... came with correct hose length/size, fittings, washers, etc..

I saw your thread on this, very impressive. I'm just not that talented (especially since I've never welded anything). If I go as far as remove the rack, I'm just gonna send it to maval .

I'm not talented either,actually i am half retarded,lol No really it was very simple.
The power rack has 3 seals that will slow down your steering because its pushing the liquid around.
also the quill has multiple seals in the body that also plays part in the steering.Do it right Do it once and be happy.

Just got around to doing this conversion today. I love it! Anything over 5 mph and the car feels amazing. Under 5 mph and it takes some effort, but it's not nearly as bad as some people make it sound.

Silicone hose won't hold up. The vacuum hose isn't designed to carry fluids.

The space it freed up is amazing. Between this, no a/c, no emissions and the single turbo, I can basically get to any place on the engine without removing anything. I might just start changing my plugs weekly now .


Agreed - I ended up cutting the stock hose and using that as described in the above link. Worked perfectly.
