Depends on where you look. I've seen times anywhere from 4.9 - 5.3.

Why don't you use the figures that Mazda provided in the 1993 RX-7 sales brochure? That way, it will be a direct quote from Mazda.

Mazda claimed 4.9, but i've never seen a number that low claimed by anyone else. I think the average 0-60 is 5.2

I think I read in Motor trend 4.9 sec.

I wonder what my car will do 0-60 with all my mods....Any ideas. I guess I should just get out a stop watch.

Yes, the RX-7 brochure from Mazda quotes 0-60 in 4.9 seconds.

I think the problem with that figure was it was based upon the preproduction cars that a few of the auto-mags got to try.

5 seconds flat is a good number to use for comparison. Ive seen anywhere from 4.9 to 5.5 with most being in the very low 5 second range

Well, until the speedometer reaches 60, but you've got the general idea...

Yeah what jim said, we might watch forever for the tach to hit 60 since the highest number on there is 9, lol.

i have an idea. its off the topic, but lets see how long it takes for everyone to get 0-60 hits on the picture that PVerdieck is using as a sig. im sure we can get that faster than the 0-60 times we are looking for

Auto FD 0-60 is low-mid 6s and 1/4 in 14.5 (poopy) - I remember the comparison between an auto FD, LT1 Camaro, and something else - the auto FD lost.

I think a overall average number to use for all manual stock FDs would be 5.2 since that's what I've seen the most.

From 4.9 secs to 5.2 secs, that's what I heard on a stock FD......
