The one you posted looks like the RE large v-mount kit.

HKS has a vmount that puts the intercooler at a slight angle and includes an adjustable piece that allows you to control how much air you want to direct to the radiator or intercooler. It's @ $2g though.

In my opinion the IC should have more angle. But I did mine with an FC that I built up. And it looks good but not like that although I invested a lot less.

You can buy a HKS V-mount at NOPI.com. It is $2.5k though.

the v-mount in the first post is the one i made, i'm going single now so i'm selling the v-mount to another forum member and making a new slightly different one for my self.

i made a thread with pics of my build to help those building there own \/
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hlight=v-mount

if anyone is interested i can build them a custom v-mount with whatever IC angle and route IC pipes any way as long as there no A/C involved.

The IC in the pic you used is likely overkill for all but the max HP setups. I will grant you that it looks bitchin, though--It's a nice fab job. That being said, a better performance trade off would be achieved by using a more reasonably sized (smaller) IC and plumbing the intake to receive cold air.

Intercooling is free horsepower though, and from what i've read the larger the core the better. The larger the core the more it's treated (aerodynamically) as a void rather than an obstruction. granted that's just what i've read in all of my books and magazines so it could be wrong.

I'm curious how bad v-mounts heat soak in traffic. any owner wanna chime in on that?

Nice, but from an engineering point off view, the entrance and exiting angle of the IC piping is total crap. Air going in and out will NEVER use the full IC core size in an efficient way. Maybe even less than the original one.

This can be seen in many aftermarket IC setups. Too bad really, considering the prices of these ktis

Again Worthless air flow IC piping going in and out the IC. Air just bounces into the back of the endtank wall instead of being curved into the core. This is not an optimal setup considering flow and efficiency. Certainly at 3k.

with many of these pictures (setups ) i notice the radiator is slanted backwards , does this in any way affect flow to the radiator thus hindering cooling , i dont see an aerodynamic way that air will pass freely through the radiator fins
or if someone would care to chime in
