I was thinking of going with a XR1 in place of the midpipe and then a magnaflow dual tip. 3" all the way back. Do you think that would be quiet at cruising speeds, without being too restrictive. I have a street port and single turbo. Has anyone seen those dump pipes that are boost controlled? it allows you to run a quiet exhaust and then at whatever psi u want it opens up and has a 3" dump. I thought about running somthing like that and running a nice quiet one all the way back. I was worried that it might hurt the spool up though... Opinions? here is the link to what im refering to http://www.atpturbo.com/root/releases/release091004.htm
Thats basically a wastegate vented to atmosphere..... and its ******* loud...... ask me how i know

Here's mine, Greddy PE. In my opinion it sounds and looks great, nicely fills in the cut out in the bumper. I've got a midpipe and an hks down pipe and I wouldn't say it's excessively loud. Until the motor warms up the windows in the house shake a little at idle but after it warms up it's nice and quiet at idle. Driving around town it's just a little louder than my rb single tip was but it's still normal not like a top fuel drag car. However at wot it's a whole different story. To illustrate: if I was at wot in Sacramento CA, you would be able to hear it in San Diego CA, a slight exaggeration but you get the point.

P.S. sorry for the crappy pics, it's been raining for the past month.

Saw two people post their REs I was hoping to be the first. Looks like I jumped on the thread bandwagaon a little late, but A-ho!! I have my youtube video of my exhaust Using SS Autochrome DP, Rotary Performance resonated MP, and RE Dolphin tail. I wish I had a way to get some video under a load. It only gets deeper as the RPMs rise.

it used to have a HUGE blitz muffler when i bought it in Japan, but it was parked about 5metres away from my neighbours bed and drove them insane.

Now it has these twins.

Does anybody have a sound clip and pics of the Apexi dunk exhaust. A person locally wants to sell it to me cheap and I'm curious what it sounds like before I dump cash on it. I have m2 dual tip right now and I love it, but I just want a change...not for the worse though lol. I have downpipe, highflow cat, to the m2 right now and I'm switching to a midpipe. I don't want anything like a canister sound before a few of my friends have the hks carbon ti on their fds and its a little too obnoxiously loud (not even deep sounding like mine is) I'm just wondering by switching to the apexi dunk exhaust if I'll still keep my deep exhaust sound?

Correction actually its a greddy power extreme...the old one not the peII. I looked on youtube for a vid of it but the only one I found was a LS6 swap FD with it...kinda doesn't help my situation lol. So does anybody have a vid clip and picture of this exhaust on their car?
