Paint is complete!
I present the completed exterior work below. Build thread is here for more detail on getting to this point- https://www.rx7club.com/build-thread...4-ssm-1109294/

I rolled out and began the 3 hour drive to get to the car on Thursday last week with a truck packed with new seals, door parts, tools, and miscellaneous crap. Upon arrival I was in love, every bit of me felt affirmed that this color was indeed the right choice. After ogling for a few minutes I got to work assembling the doors while the glass guy put in the hatch and windshield. My friend Adam had come down with me and we worked until about 9:30 PM before running out of steam. We knew we had Friday to complete assembly so we rolled out to our hotel, stopping for dinner on the way there. Sonic was the right choice and the weather was on our side, we ate outside at nigh, in sweatshirts, in February. Quick aside- Sonic doesn't provide refills which seems ridiculous. Anyway, onto Friday- we were met with light rain after checking out which cleared up through a quick trip to the hardware store and the drive to the shop. I was hoping to complete work by around 1 pm but it ended up being closer to 3 pm. The final form was awesome to see but I had forgotten to adjust the rake out of the wing in the first two pics, it was easy to miss with all the work we had done. I adjusted it while the shop owner, Omari, cut some spots and when we were both done we moved it farther out to get ready to load. After more pictures and some quick videos (and jet noise) we took off the front end and loaded it up for the trip home.
It's now tucked away in my garage on wheel dollies while I finish my bathroom remodel. I'm hoping to have the whole car completed and running by June, prior to the arrival of my new baby girl.

Thanks fellas. I'm really looking forward to getting back to work on this car.
I have some red carpet for the interior that I think will complement the color well too!

Now if I can just get this car cover situation figured out....
If they had an exchange program...maybe. I've got enough to spend on putting the rest together over the next several months!
