New to owning a rotary

Hi, I have a fresh rebuild on my fd that can’t be driven yet due to a frosty climate. I have to add some throttle & hold revs to prevent it from dying out starting in the cold. It currently has sae 30 break-in oil. Will it be able to start up in spring without any throttle applied? Someone told me that during/after my break in period compression builds & will allow me to start normally. Just a little worry & trying to prevent flooding. Thanks!

Straight SAE 30? Pretty heavy anytime, especially cold weather. Lots of pumping resistance causing your need of extra throttle. Wait until Spring...
