Mazdaspeed a-spec lights/covers?

Just seeing if anyone knows if it's possible to find the light covers. Mine are kind of warped and a few cracks, anyone make them aftermarket?

I asked about this several years ago. Unfortunately I think we're SOL and need to make due with what we have already. I asked Shine about it back then and was told that it would be too much of a pita and expense to bother with.

The rarity of the A-Spec bumper (I only know of four, maybe five, in the US not including mine) is both a boon (because rare and unique) and a disability (because rare and no replacement parts).

If you're able to find a source for reasonably priced light covers please post it up!! I'd love to know so I can pick up a spare set.

Someone has made a replica of the cover awhile back. He used a plexiglass from a hardware store and used some heat to bend it.

Maybe I'll have to try the make my own root then. I thought the bumper was a replica just because the way the covers fit and how rare they are now, it says mazdaspeed so for what I paid for the car I'm pretty happy

Yeah, from what I can tell their haven't been replica A-Specs made. Mainly because the complexity of the bumper and their general lack of popularity in the cars heyday.

So good news is that if you see one, chances are its real

I have 2 bumpers and both have lenses with issues. First is cracked and warped while the second is only warped.
I'll join you if you find a source for the lenses. I'd love to have some spares.

Your best bet is to find a local plastic molding company and ask if they do small custom work.

It's not that easy, you need to make a mould first because of the unique shape of the headlight cover, at $1000 per side it's a very costly exercise

You need to hire a bidding company to buy it for you

You can't order/buy these lenses anymore. A-spec lenses have been discontinued for awhile. Only way to get some would be if someone posted some in yaj but that's super rare, it'll be easier to see a bumper than just the lenses .

Mate it was either make moulds, which were 1000aud each side then get a guy to shape the Perspex which may have been another 1000 for x amount made, I will be putting them on but I will try and place some small holes and computer fans behind the lights to prevent the lenses warping

What's wrong with your current lenses ? Did they lose their shape/form? Or just old ? Cracked?
