How cap off extra ports into airbox and tube going to throttle body
I removed the air pump and other emissions stuff on my FD and now I have 3 qty 1.0 inch ports on the airbox and 1 qty 0.7 inch port on the pipe that goes to the throttle body that need to be capped off somehow.
Any ideas on where I can find caps for this application?
You're going to be looking for plugs... not caps. The ports are big. If you open the air box and look inside, I believe that one you have pictured actually goes no where. It's the intake for the air pump. It's a whole separate chamber in the air box that just passes air through to the air pump
Black rubber chair leg caps. IIRC I used just a smidge of rtv to keep them I place on the plastic OEM box. I think I’m still using them on the metal ports of my aftermarket box.
Yep, black rubber chair cap legs. Commonly available at Lowe's or Home Depot. They have different sizes so you should be able to find the right size.
The one on the TB elbow will need a hose clamp on it, it WILL pop off under boost if you don't have it clamped. It should be a snug fit. The air box nipples aren't under any pressure or vacuum so just plugging them up will be fine.
I found that char leg caps deteriorate quickly. I'm not sure if there's a range of quality in chair-leg-caps, but if you can source something with more material engineering I'd recommend it.
