Has Anyone Vinyl Wrapped their FD?
I've been throwing the idea around of wrapping my FD but can't figure out how to wrap the rear quarters. I'm trying to figure out a way to wrap the car without having an ugly seams in that area since our roof/quarter are one very large single unit. Has anyone wrapped their FD or have any suggestions on how to go about wrapping this area with as little of a seam as possible?

Vinyl wrapping a car yourself is a LOT harder than it seems at first. You can have a pro do it but it can be really damn expensive.
May want to look into doing Plast-Dip - I've dipped my car a few times and have been really pleased with the results. You can get everything you need for $300-500 depending on color and easily do it in a day. Dipyourcar.com is the big resource for the paint/gun/etc.

I would just do a seam on the pillar somewhere. I have a ton of seams on my CRX that I was doing with scraps and most people dont notice unless I point them out. Its not permanent anyway so it didnt bother me.
I watched some youtube videos on making seams with knifeless tape, worked out well.

I have thought about Plasti-Dip and have checked out their website in the past. What keeps me away from Plasti-Dip is that I've seen several cars that were "dipped" and I did not like the result of the exterior.

The older dip that was full matte usually looks like crap. The newer stuff that has a gloss to it or pearls really can look good.
My car is currently a CYM-ish plasti dip. My paint (black) is SHOT and I'm being time before a paint job. Base coat of white, then yellow dip, then the clear dip with a yellow pearl mixed in.

Well, I don't have as many pictures as I should! See below for a few.
It's definitely not a full gloss but it DOES have a satin shine to it. For the cost and the time involved I'm really happy with it. Long term it needs a real paint job but it's fun to try a different color on that you can easily peel off.
The color I got was Nebula Yellow -

The finish would have been better/smoother/glossier if I had used the DYC spray gun, I cheeped out and used a similar gun that just didn't do as good of a job. Learned my lesson there.
They have a ton of Youtube videos showing how to do it and showing different colors and results. The new dip pearl top coat does really make for a nice shine.
I know one guy who dipped his car since he had a really nice paint job and was wanting to protect it for track days.
Anyhow, it's a solid way to go. I've had lots of good feedback from people who have seen the car in person at Deal's Gap. Also, the wheels are dipped as well, one picture shows the wheels before I dipped them.
