Who has vinyl painted their interior in the car?
I've done some searches and read on vinyl painting but wonder who has done it in the car?
I've taken all the plastic off to sand and repaint it, the door panels are off but the center dash mat is still in the car.
I plan on doing the dash mat in the car, has anyone done this before?
Mask the window and doors off, plus the headliner and take the seats out, put some plastic on the floor and goto town.
Thanks

I also did my FC, it looks pretty dam good. It's been over 2 years and it's shinnier then my FD. The only problem I found is. If you can swap out as many parts that will be touch with the origninal colored parts it would be the best idea.

I used Krylon fusion for the plastic.
Someone else on the forum, forgive me for not remembering, posted these directions:
1. Sand with 180 to get all the old material off
2. Resand with 400 and smooth
3. Wash in soap and water and then wipe down with alcohol of some type.
4. Follow the directions on the can
I also bought a painters cloth, its like a cheese cloth with some stuff in it, helps wipe the dust away as you sand.
Rotoboy: Looks good, how is it up close, can you tell its not OEM?
I keep thinking of doing some kind of two tone.
