I'll continue to follow this thread with interest.
I have a very nice VR R2

It has 26k miles on it and it's super clean. I'm talking outstanding interior. $38k

Seen it, can vouch. It would be a good buy for someone.
Are you thinking of BaT, Fritz?

Yep it's a good one. It checks all the right boxes or has no rust, very clean interior, missing nothing, everything works etc....

Yep I'll list it on BAT if I decide to sell it. Overall it's my favorite DD car at this time so it will be hard to let it go.

the 93 SSM base model sold. I was very close to buying it myself

here's a good example and I know the owner (solid guy): https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ckType=listing

Ignore Montego, there are no warm sunny day in San Diego, If you are thinking about vacationing here please stay home, it’s too crowded. And besides it’s difficult to keep the sand off your laptop as you read the forum in your beach chair.

Seems like the standard asking price for a decent mile car is now $35-$40k regardless of issues, maintenance, compression, or even a couple decent photos.

Frustrating to say the least from a buyers perspective but I only have myself to blame for not moving on one sooner.

Nope

You can still find really nice cars for under 30 but you will have to move quickly/take a chance: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1995-mazda-rx-7-7/

If you want a specific FD such as CW, CYM, R1/R2 etc.... you will likely have to pay for it

You're correct - I guess I should say all of the cars that I am personally interested in have fallen under that category. MB's have just never done it for me.

I'd love a nice 94 or 95 MB base but otherwise I feel you

Thanks! I can see why they go missing though, bc when I first got the car i couldn't figure out how to attach the damn thing lol. Luckily the search bar in this forum helped with that.
