The good the bad and the ugly

The good: My car passed inspection two days ago! The commnet from the guy was "Nice Car. Really nice exhaust."(Racing Beat).hehe
The Bad: It's going in for emissions today. Ever since september when I bought it, its exhaust has been pretty bad. It just puts out a lot of white exhaust that stinks like nothing else. Does anyone else have this problem? Has anyone found a solution? It hasn't failed yet but its probably not going to pass. I still have the stock Cat in there and thats the only thing I could think of that might be able to help that. In Missouri though they have some sort of law that says that if it fails and you spend $200.00 on it to fix it then there is some clause where they let you pass. There might be an exception to Rotary's but I doubt it.
Sorry about this being so long, but I was thinking I might just get the RB Cat and pre-silencer package. Would I need the pre-silencer with the Cat from RB? Sorry again about the length and all the questions but its important. Thanks a lot!

The Good : You only need a cat and not the pre-silencer

The Bad: Your performance will decrease if you went from a pre-silencer to a cat.

The ugly: White smoke might mean burning coolant. Burning coolant = engine rebuild

Highly doubt that it is the engine needing a rebuild. It only has 66,500 miles on it. What exactly do you mean when you say that stuff about the cat and pre-silencer? They sell it in a package at RB. Don't they both go on? What would be the perks of putting them both on compared to not.

A rotary engine will need to be rebuilded if it has been overheated. Do you know if it's been overheated? White smoke is a good indication.
Does your car loose coolant?

As for the pre-silencer and cat, a presilencer replaces the cat. You will notice cat replacement pipe with presilencer as a packaged offered by RB.

I hope it's not it either......same thing happened to my car

You're in Chesterfield? Cool ... need to come and hang out with the club. Make sure and read the Midwest forum for updates on club events.

Don't worry to much about a little white smoke, that's normal for a rotary. Everybody's definition of a lot is different. Hope the engine is fine though.
