looks exactly the same to me..... But being 100% honest, I don't see the need to spend $800 on some lights when my pop ups work perfectly fine....money will be spent on other mods..

theyre similar as these are like the rmagic lights.

they do have some differences though as these are molded all the way up to the lights. The angle of the opening is also different between the two.

I agree, although the stock lights are terrible so at some point I need new ones. The Sake Bomb lights are close in price to these so Id rather have these or HWL for the uniqueness.

See first photo. You can see without lights the holes are open for air to flow. It won't go direct into your engine bay, cuz our factory light frame is in its way. Unless you drill some small holes.

These are different than Hotwater Labs ones, you can see the difference. The ones Evo-R is making are complete R-Magic replicas. Surprised nobody has mentioned that yet.

If you look at the one on red FD, lower center part is down in more. Which will give a flash surface once the lense is on.

We have not confirm the type of driving light to use yet. This is why there is a 2 week wait time. Want to confirm on best light source for this. Using PIAA lights is just too expensive

I'm not trying to be a dick, but...how can you offer a product with a set price and not know what parts you're going to use?

As for the question above this one. There is no point in him posting light patterns if he doesn't know what lights he will be sourcing.

Just use real driving lights with appropriate cutoff.please. I had to ditch the lights on my last Evo R kit and modify for true projectors.

The plastic shroud does not cost much. Charging anything above $500 without quality lights is just robbery.

I'd have to respectfully disagree to the above. There is still a lot of time in R&D in replicas as well, as confusing as that may be. Evo r still has to make sure the lights fit extremely well or they will be bombarded with phone calls and returns. I agree one could make a set of lights themselves for a reasonable amount of materials, but you have to ask yourself what is your time worth if you were building them to sell? Your time becomes much more expensive when it's not for personal use. Perhaps a better approach would be to just to sell the housings and lenses themselves and let the consumer provide his own projectors etc, then no fault would be on Evo r's hands in the first place.

The light units themselves are another issue as I see it. Evo r wants to make a quality product but at a reasonable cost, this is not an easy task, if it was then everyone would do it. I am familiar with the light issues in previous lights and understand everyones skepticism, but to be frank there is a reason people are interested in these over the hwl and of course r magic and that's price.

I have never owned an Evo r product but I do applaud their efforts for continuing to make products for our cars that our in the majorities of ours price range, I choose to be patient and scour the forum daily for deals.
