Clean FDs at dealerships are selling for 4-5M yen and higher.

I can't even imagine shelling out that much for a car I bought for $2K lol.

 

I have not been following the auction stats, but there still seems to be a steady flow of listings on Yahoo/Buyee.

Asking prices do seem to be trending higher on average.

Are people making more of an effort to keep the best examples in Japan?

What government hurdles do they face to do so?

Cheapest I've seen in awhile. Sold for just under $9k at auction. Car looks like it was raced (& riced) a lot. Full bucket seats & roll-cage, stripped interior I believe, etc.

 

Very early car. Perhaps tucked away and only brought out on race days?
