Buy a different battery or relocate?

I just received my 94 FD from Japan after 3 months and of course, the battery is dead. Its a Panasonic xxx19R (something like that) and its only found in Japan. The tray is an almost exact fit under the hood with a little room. Are there any other batteries that are smaller that may fit? Do I need to relocate? Are there other trays?

Yep. I did a thread on the HKS V-mount, take a look for it. The Honda Insight battery fits that tray nicely.

The biggest issue with battery relocation is grounding, if you go that route. 2 things you must do if relocating: Run the positive straight to the starter, run a ground to the engine, and run another ground in a well-connected and continuous point in the chassis near the battery. The chassis makes for a crappy ground.
