Battery

Hello, it's been along time since I've been note board. Anyway I was hoping I can get some help. I relocated my battery to behind the passenger seat a while back. My problem is my battery has died and I got rid of it along time ago and I'm having trouble finding a reacement that will fit in the storage bin. So if anyone else has done this with out fabricating a new box just dropping it in the bin, I would like to no wich battery they used and the model number so I can get it for my self. I think I used a optima yellow top but when I ordered 1 this time it was way to big. I need something narrower. This is a highly tuned car and I don't want to throw in any old battery from sears! Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.

When I did mine I used a Westco Battery for the Miata. It fits in the bin pretty well. I made a battery tray so it sat up in it some as it doesn't fit all the way into the bottom of the bin. I liked it cause it is a real car battery (not one of those mini batteries that dies in a week if not used). I've had it for 3 years now. The bin is intact and not chopped up. All I had to do was drill some small holes that can be easily plugged if I decide to go back to an OEM configuration.

Here is the battery tray I made for it:

Battery in the bin:

If I were to do it again I would have positioned the hold down ears a bit differently cause of how close it gets to the positive terminal, but I have it insulated and it doesn't slide around.

I used a Braille Battery, this ain't just any old battery from Sears. Check out the specs of this battery relative to it's size. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BRL-B3121/
