95 rx7

I need some help with a few items. I have 1995 Twin Turbo that I have owned since 2000. It has a about 70,000 original miles and I am in the process of freshening it up. I just had all the minor dents and dings accumulated over the past 25 years taken out and the car repainted arrest me red. Now I am onto the interior. I can't find anyone local in Salt Lake City capable of reupholstering the seats in original tan leather. Is there anyone that makes replacement covers that are anywhere close to looking OEM? Also, the little door in the inside driver's door panel broke. Do I have to replace the entire inside door panel or is there a replacement door and compartment? Last but not least, when I purchased the car it came with an aftermarket air cleaner/filter that I would like to replace with a stock set up. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it if you could steer me in the right direction. I want to keep the car stock.

I can't offer any suggestions on the seats, but the map pocket lid can be replaced by itself.

I believe bubbletech is still around and making them, there are a couple other vendors that make replacements as well I think.

You live in a fairly big city, there should be some upholstery shops there that can do a re-cover. A good shop can likely recover the seats very nicely and possibly of better quality than original. There are some seat covers out there but I'm not sure on availability and quality at this point in time.

If you want to go back to a stock air box get your post count up and look in the For Sale forums, that shouldn't be hard to find a good one.

Ari at RX7.com sells replacement seat covers. This guy is awesome. He hooked me up with every new 99 spec body part I have. Any excuse to give this guy business, I'll take it.

Thanks. Couldn’t locate anyone in SLC that would reupholster the seats.

Thanks for the advice. You’d think I could find someone in Salt Lake but so far no go. Thanks for the recommendations.

Air boxes are still available brand new from Mazda, about $250 IIRC. Comes with a nice OE air filter, too.
