oil pan re-seal?

Hi Guys... I checked the Lightning in the World of Thunder under
Oil pan removal.
I wanted to ask? Someone replied that the Oil pan can be changed without removing the subframe? Is this True?
What kind of time is involved in this job? Thanks for the replies: jc
ps. can you get enough clearance to install the cleaned oil pan with Silicon gasket sealant without removing the subframe? Without making a mess of Silicon everywhere///

You don't have to remove the motor or subframe. You need to suspend the motor from the top of the car. There is a special tool for that, which is nothing more than a metal bar that rests on the front fenders with an adjustable hook to hold the engine while you replace the motor mounts.
