Wink How visible are the control actuators?

Is it possible to see the charge and turbo actuators/rods...whatever... move while looking from the top of the motor?

I was looking past the air hoses beneath the y-pipe as a friend did the Key on and off test. I never saw anything move. I used a flashlight thinking it was just too dark.

Not even a wiggle.

Pretty easy to see 'em when you've got them removed Do you know what they look like? Here's mine on the floor:

all kidding aside, The only one you can see from the top of the engine is the charge control actuator. Its the one mounted on the y-pipe, directly below where the secondary turbo's intake pipe does a 90 degree turn and goes down. Its a little hard to see, but it is possible.

ok, unless you are driving you are not going to see anything move ... and I would like to see you hold on to the fender while the other guy drives!!! You see your car does not make boost with the clutch in or in nuetral ... so it is going to be a little hard to make boost while standing still ..... and therefore you will not see anything move.

Huh?

http://home.iSTAR.ca/~dvandit/TurboT...shooting.shtml

"Check vacuum chamber's storage ability with engine off

Pull off vacuum hose at Charge Relief Actuator
Should hear air entering hose vacuum, re-attach hose
Start engine - briefly accelerate engine to WOT in neutral again
Turn engine off - KOKO 6 TIMES
Watch Charge Control Actuator work each time
Watch Turbo Control Actuator work each time"

Page says you have to be under the car to see the Turbo Control Actuator work, but I could not see the Charge Control Actuator. I think I was looking ini the wrong place.

Thanks all

I see about 4 psi when I rev to 6k in neutral. I still have the sequential stock.
