How much is it worth?

I'm looking into buying a silver 93 RX-7 this week and am wondering how much I should offer him. The car has 75k miles on it with 2k on a new engine and turbos. The interior is all new leather and seems to be done quite well. The car is an R2 and seems to be in overall pretty good condition. It was in a minor fender bender but everything was fixed really well and you would'nt even know anything happended. The only add on is Tokico shocks. The guy is asking $16900 but I'm hoping he will go a bit lower. What do you think I should offer him?

First of all, it can't be an R2 if the model year is '93. It has to be an R1. I checked blue book for you and it gave me a value of around $13500. But, if this guy just got a new engine and turbos, it should really be worth a lot more. The cost for a new engine and turbos in an FD should be $5000+ depending on where you go to get the work done. It's probably more than that last figure actually. So, I think what this guy is asking isn't too much at all. If everything else is in good condition and the body is good, then I wouldn't hope to get him to go much lower. This sounds like a good deal to me, so get a Carfax report done on it along with a check on the boost numbers and get yourself a tight ride!

Just make sure that fender bender didn't do any damage to the wheel alignment! If not get it!~
