thats my guess.
idk, i was looking at the list of causes in the haynes manual.
there's really soo much it could be.
it is a 20 something year old car so who knows for sure.
i'm hoping clean fuel, fuel injector cleaner, and that thermowax stuff solves the problem for good.
but time will tell.

wooot.
once the car warms up the idle issues go away.
just got this one leak i need to fix and i should be good to go.
apart from re-installing carpets, interior, and seat.
at this point im just so happy the idle goes away.

i have been trying for the last 9 months to track down that stupid fluxing idle problem. mine goes from 1100 to 2000 and is a bit faster but goes away after it warms up a little its very random weather it does it or not. my best guess is something with the throttle plates and fast idle cam malfunction? bcuz i have replaced almost the whole vac system and it still does it. not fun at 3 am when u start ur car and it sounds like ur intentionally reving the engine in the dead of night.
anyways, i read about gutting the throttlebody awhile back and bought a second one for spare parts and vac valves so i was planning on taking it apart, trying different things and seeing if it makes a difference with that stupid fluxing idle problem. (please do not try gutting your tb if you only have one and no spare ) if u can deal with it do u, but once u put a exhaust on your na.... that idle, its a whole nother ball game...... best of luck with your project man, keep it alive
