It's a hood prop made by Lisle. You can usually find them at Sears.
Use it to wedge against the seat and hold the clutch pedal down.
Take off everything in the front of the engine. Fan, shroud, pulleys, everything in the way. There are a few bolts holding the oil pan to the front cover, so take those out. Remove the eccentric shaft hub. Take off all the bolts holding the front cover on, and remove the front cover. Shove some rags down inside the oil pan. Remove the gasket from the front cover and the front part of the oil pan. You'll have to use the front cover as a template to make a gasket for the front part of the oil pan. Install gaskets using some ultra black silicone, and pay special attention to the corners where the front iron meets the oil pan. Don't forget the o-ring that goes in the front cover, otherwise you'll have no oil pressure. Reinstall everything. The key here is to be very clean, and don't let any gasket material drop down into the oil pan. Take your time too.
