Rear camber questions

Hi everyone!

Alright so I'll just get straight to it. I need to adjust my camber to not be so negative on the rear. 0 camber is what I think I am shooting for?

So I have been looking between some adjustable camber links; not the ones for the individual arms but the long one that is near the differential. I looked at the one on Racing Beat's website and it looks like it would be a good buy, but I looked at the one on Banzai Racing's website as well and it is considerably cheaper.

Has anyone used either of these? Is there another you would recommend?

Is adjustment pretty easy?

And also, is an alignment needed after installing this? I just want to be more informed before I buy it and try installing it. I haven't had the best bit of luck lately...

Thanks

I have the RB version and it is great, just not adjustable while it is completely attached to the car. Mazdatrix makes a version that you can adjust while it's on the car which is pretty cool. It's always recommended to get a professional alignment, but you can pretty much eyeball it since it does both sides at once. Also I think -.5 degrees is stock rear camber.

The one we offer is adjustable while installed in the car, it does a great job. We have it in our 13b-re Vert and have installed it in dozens of customer cars, yet to see one fail.

Btw it is the same one Mazdatrix sells, just half the price

Why do you want 0 camber in the rear?

Wow I wish I'd seen that before I bought my Mazdatrix one.

Rear camber is between negative .2 degrees and negative 1.2 degrees according to stock specs from Big O Tires. I just came from there to get my rear camber done.

you want these, they can correct from as much as 2.5degrees or can put negative in on stock ride height cars. can also be adjusted without removing. you can also adjust the side independently cuz there is usually .1-.4 degree difference between the sides.

the reason you don't want that sub frame bar, is because you can only remove about 1 degree, after that your diff will start pounding on the bottom of your car every shift.

i don't know if i need it at 0. just to where the whole wheel is vertical. whatever that degree of camber may be. or whatever setting is the best. something that won't wear my tires so quickly. but this doesnt matter anymore since my car just decided today to not start up.

factory setting is -0.4 to -1.0 degrees i believe. you'll want to keep it within that range. the alignment shop will tell you the same, you'll just have to tell them you've added these adjusters.
