hey guys, another interesting problem. below is a picture of my vacuum hoses that connect to the front side of the dynamic chamber. look closely at the circled bigger hose and you'll notice that it is flat. i have no idea why this had happened. the other 2 hoses are ok. while the engine is running, i pulled the hose off and there is a suction but when i checked the pin from where it is connecting to, it is not blowing off air. it seems like something is blocking off the pin that's why when the hose is connected, it suffocates because it's not getting any air.

any idea guys? is there something wrong with my plenum? oh by the way, another problem is, i am not able to adjust my idle speed. i did all the procedures, from shorting out the green plug but i still can't make the idle speed go low or high no matter how far i adjust the screw on top of the TB. do you think this has connection to my problem above?

hehe, you should make sure that bad boy works ok, it controls your oil injectors, dont want a blown engine.

I think what it means is that you have to pull off the upper manifold and track the hose back to your "spider".The hose could be trapped, the spider collapsed(though I've never seen one),or is it possible that the hose wall is too thin?
As far as running the car you will still get oil injection---just too much when the throttle valve closes or you are running high manifold vacuum.

This doesn't help at all, but that's the cleanest RX7 I've ever seen. Beauty!

I don't think the hose going to the spider is trapped. Just like I said from the above post, there is a suction on this hose.

Thanks Chris. But I hate to say this, a clean car is useless if it's not running.

What do you mean by the "pin it is connected to"?
No great amount of air is supposed to flow through this hose, its purpose is to equalise the pressure across the oil injectors in order to maintain the proper oil flow.If you look at the original hose it has thick walls which can withstand the vacuum at idle. The hose you have on there appears to be thin wall and cannot withstand 18"vacuum.You need a thicker walled hose.

from the pic the hose at the bottom there where it first gets thin, its being pushed up against the alternator, is that pinching it?

no, it's not being pushed against the alternator. there's plenty of room for it.

Well obviously the Mazda factory piece works.I found an old one and measured the wall thickness,it's 1/8inch and is almost impossible to squeeze between my finger and thumb.
