yet another taurus e fan install question

ok bought the 16in taurus e fan with the 2 speeds out of a 3.8 engine...cool... trimmed up the shroud and mounted it to the radiater...great...got a 40 amp relay and wire harness to connect it up...fine...but was looking around for the easy radiater thermostats that have the prongs in it and stick it right into the fins but theres where the problem starts. cant find it so was going to get the screw in 3/8 tap and plug it into the back of thermostat neck but already have a autometer aftermarket water temp gauge wired in and have that thermostat wired into the back of the neck no problems. can i wire the relay into that temp switch to cut on??? idealy looking for 190 on 180off fan wise. lokking for some insight and the easiest way going about this.
much thanks

No, your autometer guage sender contains a thermister, not a switch.

Try summitracing.com, or jegs.com for the push in probe adjustable temp type.

Or you can thread in another switch into the front of the thermostat housing.

autozone or any parts store should have a generic electric fan thermostat switch. I bought a kit from autozone for $20. That was relay, wiring, thermostat, etc.

I'll dig up the part number if you have an autozone near by.

O'rielly's sells a 20something dollar thermostat kit.
adjustable, built in relay, built in fuse...

I wanted to test it before installing a custom two speed relay setup..
and it's lasted a trip to Ocala (500 miles) and the past month or two of "SPRING BREAK" driving. where people decide to drive 10-20 miles per hour down Panama City Beach's main roads. and it's held up just fine. check there first to see if one will work with your application.

You- and by extension, he- must be joking.
Even ignoring the obvious environmental issues (of which water is but one), there is so much wrong with that idea that only high grade weed makes it even conceivable.

It would be amusing to see though...
