An 87 turboII has it located first of all on a bracket. Then the bracket is attached to the structure in the passenger side foot well. Way up, fwd and to the far right where you can hardly touch anything. The plug should be there somewhere if its a turboii harness. If its a n/a harness, put anywhere you darn well please and run the wires b/t it, the ECU and the sensor.

Confused me a bit, but he showed the control unit in the picture, so I assume its the control unit he meant. The sensor should be screwed into the housing, left side. He knows that. Pretty sure anyway.

Senses knock. ;God how I want to just stop there and not go any further. humor please.
And after it detects a knocking condition, retards the timing to prevent .........engine knocking which can bust apex seals.
If you have never detected knock as in never heard it, get your lawnmower out. Start it up . Rev it up and spray starter fluid in the intake. HEar the knock.
Knocking is what is caused by pre-ignition.

That was 500 for the bracket alone. Only 750 for the whole assy. Kitty Litter????? Hmmmmm. Is that before the cat did its business or after. Thanks for the new ideas.
Yep. I bet the bracket is still there.
