What series/year/mods?

It could be running really rich under full throttle. If you have a NA, are your 6th ports working?

10th aniv stock....dyno shows its running lean after 4000k rpm so i always shift at 3k rpm....but if i press the acceleration pedal half way its faster then if i press it all the way in.

i doubt is the injectors seeing how i can still go fast when the accelerator is pressed half way. I press it half way and the car picks up really nice but then if i step on it all the way then it slows down.

You have to give the airflow a little time to catch up with the fuel that the ECU is dumping in at WOT, whereas if the peddle is pushed slower, the air & fuel events can be scheduled more accuately by the ECU via the AFM, TPS, & boost sensor...

Or something like that

Almost every car I own, or have owned is like that. Just the way some cars are, I think. Just put er' half way down and use less fuel than putting it to the floor.

what if i was on the track? makes no sence that it would go faster when i press it half way down. the prelude i use to own did not do this...when i would push the pedal to the floor it would go faster then if i pushed it half way down.

so you think its the tps...i mean the car idles great and runs good....until i step on it all the way ..... but if i only press it half way it pulls damn nice....im thinking its not the injectors cause if it was the injectors it would not go after 3500 rpms right? anyone else have any ideas?

Sounds like you have a problem with the ports or injectors I would probably suggest buying some of that Fuel injection cleaner stuff its like $2 a bottle and works pretty good I think

the amount of fuel being injected is directly controlled by ur throttle with minor adjustment by the ecu.

My 10th, you can floor it any time, and get NO lag. So this is NOT normal.

My roomate had this problem too, he changed the AFM and it went away.

yeah...but the injectors (secondaries) kick in after 3800 rpms....i tried pressing the accelerator half way at 4k rpms and it pulled nice...while if i just floored it it will slow down...then it will pick up. I don't think its the injectors.

YOu have to test things mang. Try adjusting the TPS first.

tps does a lotta things besides mess with your idle. It senses how much you're pushing the gas when not at WOT and the CPU controls fuel and such according to that measure.

Ermn...he doesnt have auxilary ports, cuz its a 10ae. Its good advice to clean the injectors... but id probably send them off to be cleaned for like 10$/injectord, id be worth it.

I don't know the FC specifics, but on my other car it goes full rich when you completely floor it, so it bogs a little bit. I was under the impression that that was normal.

Yeah, it seems like these FC's go pig rich when you get on it. That's the nature of the beast.

If you are going lean then you have a fuel problem, period. I shows up more on WOT because it is getting more air flow and running too lean. When you accelerate at a slower pace,i.e. half throttle the fuel mixtue is leaning out less, hence faster acceleration. You need to check your entire fuel fuel system. Start with the basics, fuel filter, fuel pressure, and fuel punp. If these are up to snuff the it may be the injectors. You didn't say how many miles you have on the car. Oddly enough the secondary injectors can plug up before the primaries because they aren't used as much. Spending a 100 bucks or so at RC Engineering getting your injectors cleaned is cheap insurance.
