Yay! Progress

Okay...
So I have finally started to dump some time/money into my vert. I just got all the windows tinted (windshield included), and now I am ready for some new shoes. I like the look of a 5 spoke wheel (similar to Axis Shines), but I am not going to pay through my nose for a set...

Anyone have any suggestions on what looks nice on a Black/Black/Black 89 Vert?

Oh - FYI I HATE black wheels...... they just make it look dirty to me . . I dont really want chrom either, but any suggestions are welcome

Gimme pics if you have them too!

Mustang rims perhaps?...I never did like the oem BBS rims....to me they're too "spoke-y" and busy-looking. My $.02

A scooped hood would not "RICE" it up....

Especially when it is made functional.

Well, unfortunately, 99% of hoodscoops are ineffective. Look at the stock TurboII hood. It blows.

I don't know why you're spending your money on body mods... if your FC is like any other one on the forum, you should be thinking about some REAL mods.

If you're absolutely set on it, 5zigen FN01R-Cs are good bang-for-buck rims with lots of color and size choices. Plus, you can order them from local stores like Discount Tire.

Eh - budget isn't really set, I just want it to look a little better...
I bought this car as a project car, but it is in near 100% perfect condition. I am still on the fence of whether I am doing a V-8 swap or a complete 20b turbo swap...
Either way, it is going under the knife in January.

My last vehicle was a 2005 X-Runner that I had put 12 grand into (above the cost of the truck). I installed a supercharger, Meth injection, FMHE, TMIC, and all the goodies... just to blow the motor a year later and eventually have it back to stock..... I lost interest in it, because all that money and i had to go back to stock... bleh! i have lots of pics and videos though

Now I am ready to get in the 12's with a little bit of reliability and comfort.
If I have to do it with a big fat snail on a rotary, or a small block in this car, I will be making the choice come January..

I still want some nice shoes on it though

well you have a stock vert. You'll never get into the 12's with tinted windows and rims. As far as the stock TII hood being funtional: only if you have a TII motor running the stock Intercooler.

Look into some silver or gunmetal SSRs. Lightweight and some look nice.

yeah, I blame the chicks in the pic. I saw them and scrolled down fast and didn't finish it. I missed the snail/ big block parts in Jan.
