Yay!!! My car runs!
Well, as you all may or may not know, my car started burning coolant and it was keeping me from starting the car. I had figured it needed a rebuild, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out from the mechanic that all you have to do is put a pair of vice grips on the fuel line and crank it until it starts. All it is now is a matter of making sure enough coolant is in the car. So now I get to drive it around for a while until we decide what to do, whether it be a rebuild or a rebuilt motor.
Is the whole vice grips thing the same as pulling the EGI INJ fuse? If so, I can wire a switch and not have to have someone else cranking it while I remove the vice grips, correct?

pulling the EGI fuse, cuts fuel AND spark. Which, isnt as effective as just cutting the fuel. What you can do is pull back the carpet in the back and unplug the fuel pump connector. Itll start right up.
kabooski: What's an mec?
Z Zoom: It ran fine one night and then the next morning I had to pull the fuse to start it. It kept doing this until the next day when it just refused to start like that.
