wut does this fuse do ?

the 'MAIN' fuse 80A

anyone know what it does ?
and how do you remove it ... im having a hard time removing it

it's the main feed for the fuse panel inside the car among other things...it's bolted in by 2 or 3 10mm(I think) bolts

heh, that's the one that gives power to your whole car. Without it, you make an open circuit directly to the battery. Car will have no power without it.

hmmm ... car still works normally as of now ...

ill get it replaced tomrrow
but damn it its so hard to take out !

If the car is working normal....why are you replacing the 80 amp fuse????

Hey i have this same question, my car doesnt have any MAIN fuse in place, but it still runs and drives. It hasnt been in there since i bought the car. There is still a wire connected from the battery to the empty fuse space though, and if i disconnect that wire then i have no power...

The only answer I can think of.....is that the fuse box is wired wrong, eliminating the fuse from the circuit. Which means there is no fuse protection.....which means the possibility of ....Crispy, fried critter parts someday.
