WTF? smoke...
here is my problem. I drove my car home from school and parked two days ago. I then took my sisters car back to school with me (honda, good MPG). Ok so now its sunday and I'm back home, I started my car and its giving me some smoke? its blueish in color so that tells me its oil. I know when rotary's sit they will smoke a little but its not going away. I promptly turned it off. I checked the oil, its full, the pressure is good. its got a full tank of gas, not low on coolent. I'm at a loss as to what is wrong.

Blue smoke = burning oil.
White smoke = burning anti-freeze
Black smoke = trouble
The rotary is made to burn oil. The OMP injects oil INTO the combustion chambers and burning oil is iNTENDED.
The concern is with piston engines, b/c when you have blue smoke, it means that piston rings are worn and compression is gone or going out
So I wouldn't worry about it. You should loose about 1 quart of oil between every oil change for this. Any more than that and you may have a bigger problem like internal oil rings/seals failing....

I just find it really odd that I park it and all the sudden it does this? it never did it at school. Maybe my house is cursed? Its a new engine under 3k miles on it and I haven't had a bit of trouble with it sence I got it back this time. I just dont know.

Daryl, that does not sound good. I think your oil lines may be shot. Also check to see that your oil filter is on tight. What weight oil do you use? As for the smoking engine, no worries. It happens to all of us when they sit for a dey or two. Just the nature of the beast!!

ok sorry to bring this up from about a month ago... but my vert is giving me a really big concern. I've tried search, but had not yield the answers i have been looking for. My '91 vert has been consuming so much oil... so much that i've put about 3-4 quarts of oil since my last oil change and its been about 2000 miles since it. Also, if i let my car idle for about 2-3 minutes, white smoke starts to come out of the engine bay. Can someone please help me out on this.
