Exclamation WOW not the responce i thought i would get.

So i posted a thread a few days ago about buying a turbo manifold for my stock turbo.

RE-Amemiya price: $750
Mazda Stock: $800

Anyway, alot of you acted like i was crazy to pay this price foe a stocker!

Well my manifold has a bad leak and i'm sick of smelling exhaust, plus i need it fixed so that i can race in my local hill climb.

Right not i dont feel like putting in a new turbo and then have to deal will setting it up and i dont have the money right not to buy the greddy turbo kit i was looking at... So in my curent situation... should i just buy the RE-A manifold or not race and deal with the gas fumes until i can save up about $3000 for the turbo upgrade and frount mount....

because the way i was looking at it is that i buy the part for $750 and when the time comes that i buy the upgrade ebay my re-a part and get something back... i mean i havent seen any of these on ebay....

OK FIRE AWAY!

I like your idea. If you really want to get up and racing, then do it.

^Ha that's great.

I think it's completely ridiculous to pay that much for a new S4 manifold.

Just pick up an S5 turbo and manifold for less than half. They don't crack nearly as bad as the S4s, plus you'll have a better turbo setup.

Used S4 manis are a dime a dozen. I'm sure you could find one without cracks, or bad cracks anyhow.

I bought a new s5 manifold from the dealer a few years back...it was only 250. That was worth it.

It was new in the bag and was soaked in perserving oil.

Ehh..

Get a used stock one for now.

When you go for a new, bigger/better turbo...get a 1revvin7 custom manifold. Far superior to anything you'll find from GReddy, HKS, SSAutocrap, etc...

Is that $750 local price landed?
Else, are you converting the US$750 from JPN Yen?
If you're looking to order from JAPAN, it's going to end up costing you OVER $1,000 by the time it's landed, and you pay customs fees.

Do you feel stupid now?
