Pretty neat looking.

If this Boost controller comes out with a price-tag of $500-600 then I would hope that the Apexi and other's will go down in price.

I am currently in the market for a nice boost controller...but may have to wait on this bad boy unless I can find a older unit for really cheap.

The new Profect E-01 has a large LCD dot-matrix type screen and looks like, information-wise, it holds its own with the AVC-R. Large gauges on-screen, peak hold, datalogs, etc.

Some of the cool new features -

- Compatible with SD memory cards - you can save your datalogs and boost control setups to an SD memory card, and easily swap between programs.

- Works with the Greddy E-manage - this is REALLY cool. You can hook it directly to the E-manage to program and control the E-manage in lieu of a laptop. You can also save E-manage programs to the memory card.

- Handheld remote control - kinda like a car stereo remote.

- Works with Greddy gauges - you can input your electronic gauge inputs to the E-01 for datalogging.

- Full range of boost control features - RPM-based settings, scramble boost, duty cycle and sharpness, etc.

This thing is REALLY slick - it's a revolution in car electronics. It's a single source for boost control, datalogging, and information.

Retail price in Japan is 67,000 yen, which is around $600 or so. Again, that's RETAIL - I would imagine a US street price of $500.

I have NO idea when this will be available in the US - it JUST came out in Japan at the beginning of this month.

Anyhow, I'm really stoked about it - looks like my AVC-R might have to go up for sale when this puppy hits the streets!

Wow, that's nice. Though I would think the LCD may be hard to read in daylight...A VFD display (like the Apex'i) products would be better. But I still think I'll stick with the AVC-R....matches my S-AFC.

Just got off the phone with Greddy - the unit hasn't been released yet in Japan (it's announced, but not shipping, should be shipping REALLY soon). They currently have one for testing in the US to verify that it will work with US spec cars. They expect US release first part of next year.

A little bit of warning AVC-R's are crap, they are over complicated POS's you can do everything you need to with any of the blitz units and they work great, I have installed a bunch of them and also ran an AVC-R, on my car with downpipe and intake the AVC-R would only work half the time, it had a mind of it's own, I have heared this from several people, When I was at the track I had is set at 1bar same as I always did and the whole night it wouldnt boost over .92 bar, and then sometimes it would overboost everytime I got into it. They do look cool though

Must purchase when I get greddy emange. Especially if you do not need a lab top to control emanage?

Or is it just indicating what emanage logs??
