Is this worth it?

My friend knows someone selling a 1986 Rx- 2+2 Base model. Not the GXL. Engine was just rebuilt 10,000 miles ago. Transmission replaced 25,000 miles ago. Brand new AC unit. Custom Steel Braided oil lines. Brand new Dual Hayame Exhaust. Straight pipe from the headers. Car has 100,000 miles on it.

He's selling for 2,500. You think it's worth it? I live in hawaii where rx7's are few and far between.

sounds like a decent price for your area, the miles on the car, and everything being rebuilt

With 100,000 on the car, I'd check all the electrics first. Make sure all the switches are working, and that the starter cranks it right over. Price sounds ok, but just for reference, I picked up an 86 SE with 46000 miles original with original owner for $3k. Also, find out what the warranty was on the rebuild, if there was one, and check the brakes. The condition of the interior should give you a general idea of how well the owner took care of the rest of the car.

WHO REBUILT THE ENGINE?
If it's from KMA, it's TOO MUCH.
