I know it's ghetto and ugly so don't laugh too hard. I'm just happy I finally did it and it was free besides, everybody loves pictures.

If your fan pulls enough CFM, then you don't even need a shroud. I don't have one around my 16" Spal. Looking to make one though. You've sparked some motivation my good man.

The mystery of the prize.
Not bad, but why are there screws on the top edge?
A tip for anyone trying this just make a mock up out of cardboard and tape, then when all the dimensions are sorted lay it all flat on a large piece of sheet metal and outline where you need to cut, and where you need to bend.
Here are some photos from when I made my similar shroud.

nice write-up, I've read it before.
I didn't have any way of doing nice bends so I did a couple of easy bends and bolted up the rest. like I say, it's a little ghetto but it was free and I was bored it'll at least get me through the Dallas Cannonball and will work until I get my new rad.

i had a random question.
would the heat the radiator fan sucks in, does it matter if the hot air just runs into the engine?
i was thinkin about finding a way to redirect the air from the radiator away from the engine and maybe adding small fans to vent out the engine bonnet towards the wheel wells.
i dunno just a thought.

Less heat in the engine bay is always good. Reverse scoop on a TII hood or hood vents help a lot. Further it helps pull more air through the radiator.
