Wont start very well when hot
Posted about this a few weeks ago. But didn't get a straight answer on what's wrong got a 13b turbo fc that starts first turn of the key when hot. But after being driven till it warms up. If I turn it off even to get petrol the car won't start until I remove the fuel injection fuse from the engine bay. It seems to be getting worse every time I try start it up when it's hot. It's very frustrating cause I can't even run into the shop with out trouble re starting it. Anyone have an idea what's wrong and how to fix it. I thought it may be injectors. So I got them cleaned and pressure tested n they were fine and its still doing it

Try the Water temperature sensor at the back of the water pump.Check that out.
Also you should check compression on the engine. If you have a low compression engine it will start up Ok cold, but then it gets hard to start after it warms up.

Ok cool. I'll suss the temp sensor. Is that the one ontop of the motor where u fill up the water. Compression is at 70+ on both rotors. Ihad that checked. Is that very low? How long will the motor last with compression like that?

Factory spec is 85 psi per chamber @ 250 RPM with the engine warm & throttle open.
Hot start info: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...oblems-499744/
If you combine low compression with Mazda's extra rich start map, you get really bad hot start flooding.

The resistor semi works. Look later in the thread about cutting the 12v start signal to the ecu when hot. I just wired up a basic switch to pin 1c(s5) so I could cut the 12v signal to the ecu so it wont go into the starting map when the engine is hot. I had the same problem and its low compression(serviced injectors and a NEW mazda clt sensor).
