wiring issues
hey all
among all things trying to get my Project FC started has been the hardest, so up till now i have spark, compression, and fuel. the only problem is IT WONT START. so i go investigating under the car just to see whats up. then i see two wire that are just hanging there that arent connected to anything, and then i see two other wires that are hangine there also that have connectors on them that wrent occupied. and it seems these wires go to the neutral safety switch. would this keep my car from starting or do i have to dig farther?

You need to get the FSM wiring manual and track the wiring that you're seeing to it's function (color codes), or get us a pic...Are these wires coming from the tranny, or are they just a couple of wires/connectors hanging down in the engine bay?
If you're cranking, it's not the neutral switch, or clutch interlock switch, that's the problem...
If you can't find anything wrong visually, and you're sure the compression is adequate for start, start probing your ECU inputs from the sensors & switches, for instance: main relay, 10v "crank signal", 12 volt from battery, etc...

new optima,
but its comings from the same loom as the crank angle sensor and alternator. its a red wire with green stripe and a black wire with yellow stripe.
the two wires that are hanging down are both red which seem to come from the tranny shifter area, not sure what it is, i'll post pics once i get my camera charged.

i dont think it was rebuilt is there a way to tell? because i think this was an original owner car.
