Wiring gauges ....

Well the ground part is fairly easy .. but wheres a good spot to tap for power?

Keep in mind I have 5 or 6 gauges I need to get power too ... whats the best solution here?

Well if you don't care about dimming then you can use the ACC wire for the stereo. If you want the lights to light up and dim then tie the gauge light wire into the cigarette light or some other dimmer controlled power source.

if there electronic gauges i would prolly tap into the IGN so they turn on as soon as i turn over the key if your just for lights like Sweet7 said

any switched 12v source should be fine...there are a bunch of them under the dash.

make a little junction box a clean one and just T one of the wires into the harness kinda like the 3 way things on an extension chord

run a wire to the fuse box and use a spare slot in the engine bay to a relay in the car and have the relay triggered through the ign switch. This way you are not not stressing any of the factory wiring with more load

I used the power source for the cruise control switch light. Nice and close and no splicing since I don't have cruise control.
