honda guys do it alot when they want to hide all the wires and such. they usually cut a hole somewhere in the wheel well or some other place and route the wiring so as to not show the wires, but make the engine look like there is nothing attached to it.

The Firestarter
If your going to do a wire tuck you must be aware that you have to modify the harness. By doing a tuck you will need to extend wires and routing them in different areas of the bay. Most people i know shorten the harness and route them in different holes available via firewall behind the intake manifold. It gives the illusion that there are no wires because of the compact design of the shorter harness.
Tools you will need:
Good Wire Stripper tool
Wire 14gauge - works well (someone correct me if this is not the appropriate wire)
*different colors for better coding if your OCD like that*
Sodering Iron and Sodering wire - You will need to do lots of sodering
Shrink wrap - for better quality protection
Plastic wire loom - for weather protection
LOTS of electrical Tape
You can do a half tuck or full tuck. The FD picture attached is a full tuck.

That's fairly large for most of the engine wire. That's typically what you would run with a 15 or 20A circuit, such as for the fuel pump, or the coil power circuit Really, only the injectors would need a large cable, but even then you'd be fine with something like a 16 AWG. The rest of the wires are all low current sensors, so 18-20 AWG wire is more than adequate.

It will, but Im re routing all the main engine fuses, putting my cdi ignition under the dash, new relays etc.
Hiding the actural wires will be the easy bit.
Seem's to be a much more common thing to try and do down here then the USA

I just looked at my engine bay earlier and it looked fairly easy on the passenger side (for you US guys), I'd probably run it in the inner arch/wheel well wherever there is clearance, the only thing that looks like it may need extending is the couple of plugs up behind the strut top.
I havn't looked at the rest of the wiring but it looks simple enough, I don't mind having the coils exposed etc and am not going to go crazy to hide EVERYTHING, but the wiring in the FC engine bay is a right mess so hiding it should make it look a lot nicer

Ya, the chase bays guy is pretty insane. I seen them in a project car magazine doing up a crx this month. He did an exceptional job with the brake booster delete and all. They even went into filling all the holes in the stock bay.
I completely re-wired my car for various reasons, one was the wire tucked bay effect. I ran all the engine component wiring (microtech loom) through a hole almost shooting straight down onto the tranny (on the firewall straight behind the center of the engine), and ran the wires up to feed the engine that way. They're pretty much unnoticeable unless you stand by the doors of the car.
I also ran all the headlight, E-fan, and front blinker assembly bullshit through the fender.
Also, without wiring a full car, you can take the stock FC wiring harness and extend a few connectors wires, and get it ran through a hole behind the engine. The right side harness can simply be extended to hide most of it in the fenders.
