Wiper switch ...

Yeah I know there were like 20000 post about wiper switch and its fix. but no one seems to have a clear answer on this one

I took my wiper switch out, and it seems that someone did attempt to fix it, but obviously failed while taking the relay apart. oh well.

Im trying to wire it back myself. The graph that Icemark(RIP) shown a while ago was not really clear. pic is too small and too bury.

I followed that wired mine. Hi and Int speed still doesnt work. but at least the wiper can park.

Also, there are no graph about the Rear wiper lines (its ripped too, jeeze, who did this ... not me ...)

Anybody know ?

Thanks

Well, I found the solution to the rear wiper. jumper wire on, tested and it works fine.

Now Im still trying to figure the front wiper. once I figure it out, I will post it up

If your not going to replace the relay(s) and are just going to install a toggle switch to make them work, then the next sentence tells you what makes the wipers move.

At the wiper switch electrical plug, there is a blue/red and a blue/white wire. When you turn the wipers on using the normal switch, all your doing is putting a ground on either the blue/white or the blue/red wire. Power is already at the motor itself. It's just looking for a gnd on one of those wires.

So now go make a couple of switches using the blue/red and blue/white wires. Do not cut the wires at the switch. Depin those two wires so you can reinstall them when you get the dought to buy/fix the switch/relays.

lol thanks hailers i actually found an old thread after opening this one! i think its my ignition switch im most likely thinking that it is because the wiper will work only sometimes and i think its going to be the weight of my keys on the switch because the wipers work but only when the car is off. i have 2 wiper switches and they both werent working at one time and then the next day they both worked?!

I really am starting to hate my fc. I get it on the road and it's ONE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AFTER ANOTHER.

Hailers, which wires are the fast wires. I can move pins around if need be. Just tell me what to pin the "lo" to so i have fast wipers on that setting. They STOP instantly if i switch them to high. The squirters work but the mist and hi do not work.

A pinout diagram (even ms paint) would be heaps helpful. Thank you!

I believe the Blue/White wire is the high speed wire but to be certain turn the key to on, pop the hood, go to the wiper motor and jumper the Blue/White wire to a ground and verify that the wipers move at the high speed.

Will it blow them out if i just put them on a separate switch without using a relay? Just use a switch to ground the blue white wires when needed?

I'm talking super ghetto fast get **** done status here providing it wont fry my **** up. I plan on rewiring the entire car eventually anyway. Nice, neatly tucked and all the bs i dont need eliminated full race setup. For now, i just want it to work without spending any money. I have two switches i can mount virtually anywhere i desire on hand that aren't doing squat.

LMK if this is a viable option. Hailers way is probably the right way but i dont see all the factory controls being "factory" for long.

Thanks.

I don't know. Sounds simple enough and I guess you'll find out.

Lol. My car isn't getting power after diddling with that switch. I hear a click between my headlight and headlight motor on my drivers side when i tap the ground cable on the negative batt terminal.

Something shorted and my ENTIRE CAR is now without power. Went to crank it up (just simply put the wiper control back in and plugged all my dash things in) and it almost started, died and went into "your battery is dead mode"

Tested the terminals with my volt meter and had juice. Now i have to backtrack wires and figure out wtf shorted before i can take on the wiper thing.

ONE ELECTRICAL ISSUE AFTER ANOTHER. My car hates me. This problem occured last night and i thought i just killed the battery. Investigated more into it by doing all this. Never quite got to hard wiring my wiper switch. NOW, it's the least of my worries. She is my daily.

For starters go through and check the fuses. Check to see if the headlights work. Then check to see if the turn signals work w/key to on. If turn signals don't work then check to see if the horn works, no key needed.
